300 municipalities, no plan
The VIR is being phased out. 267 to 300 municipalities will lose their only national signaling mechanism — without an alternative.
The Referral Index for Youth at Risk (VIR) is being phased out. This affects 267 to 300 municipalities that use this system for supra-local signaling in youth care.
The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport has not announced a replacement system.
This means: within 12 to 18 months, the only national mechanism with which municipalities can check whether a young person is also in the picture elsewhere will disappear. Without alternative.
I'm curious: how does your municipality or region deal with this? Is there already a plan B?
